Connection fee right now

Zero dollars.

When fees start: $25, $50 or $100 by tier, once per project, only when your first call with that homeowner connects. Plus a 2.5% platform fee on quotes accepted after it starts.

You know how the old way goes

  • You pay for a lead, and so do seven other contractors.
  • You're the fourth call, and the homeowner already likes someone.
  • You spend two hours driving out and walking a job you'd never take.
  • You run the numbers at home that night, and lose it to "too expensive."

Martín saw it up close in 20+ years as an NYC carpenter. He built RenoMe to fix it.

"Contractors don't pay for a number. They pay for a conversation the homeowner asked for and is expecting."

How RenoMe works for you

  1. Set up your profile.

Your trade, your specialties, the boroughs you cover, photos of your work and a short intro video. Then verify your license in Settings (Trade license verification): the app checks it against NYC records.

  2. Get project requests.

Homeowners in your boroughs post projects with photos and often a video of up to 60 seconds, so you see the job before you decide to call. Homeowners can also find your profile and send you their project.

  3. Meet on live video.

When you accept, the call is yours: nobody else calls that homeowner while you talk, and the next contractor calls only if the homeowner asks. Have them show you under the sink.

  4. Send your quote.

A cost breakdown and a payment schedule, sent from the app. The homeowner accepts and pays you directly.

What it costs

Free right now. When connection fees start: $25, $50 or $100 depending on the tier (Standard, High-End, Luxury), charged once per project and only when your first call with that homeowner connects. Later calls on the same project are free, and any project you connect on while it's free never pays a connection fee. A 2.5% platform fee will also apply to projects whose quote is accepted after that fee starts. We'll tell you before fees start.

Connection fee by tier, once fees start
TierConnection fee, once fees start
Standard$25 per project
High-End$50 per project
Luxury$100 per project
  • No connection, no charge.
  • Platform fee: 2.5% of the project amount on quotes accepted after it starts. Not charged right now.
  • Refunds: if a call drops within seconds because of a technical problem, write to support@renome.app and we refund the connection fee.
  • No subscriptions. Homeowners pay you directly for the work.

Founding Contractors keep the gold for good

The first 200 home improvement contractors, 75 plumbers and 75 electricians on RenoMe get a permanent gold Founding Contractor badge, added automatically when the app verifies your NYC license. When connection fees start, Founding Contractors also get 5 free connected calls, claimed in the app with a card on file. While spots last.

Homeowners are scared of goblins. Show them you're not one.

In the app, open Settings, tap Trade license verification, and enter your license number and the name exactly as it appears on the license. The app checks them against NYC records: DCWP for home improvement contractors, DOB for master plumbers and electricians. A match puts a green shield on your profile, the first thing we tell homeowners to look for. If it doesn't match right away, it goes to review.

Questions

When am I charged?

Right now, never: it's free. Once fees start, the connection fee is charged only when your first call with a homeowner on a project actually connects, and the 2.5% platform fee applies to projects whose quote is accepted after it starts.

Do I compete with other contractors on the call?

No. While you're on the call nobody else calls that homeowner, and the next contractor calls only if the homeowner asks.

Do I need an NYC license?

For the green shield, yes: the check covers NYC DCWP and DOB licenses. RenoMe can't verify New Jersey licenses yet.

Is the app in Spanish?

The app is in English. Martín helps in Spanish: write to RenoMe Team in the app or to support@renome.app.
