The story
I'm Martín Gutierrez Beheran. I've been a carpenter in New York City construction for more than 20 years, working for other companies on other people's jobs.
A customer's father once recommended me for a job. Between the drive and walking the job, it took about two hours. We had a good talk, and twice he said, "Let's see how much it costs."
That night I ran the numbers at home. I had a gap between jobs coming, so I cut a big chunk off a fair price. He still said it was too expensive.
Two hours and a night of quoting, for nothing, and the signs were there the whole time.
Homeowners have it just as bad. One form turns into calls from strangers at all hours, the same explanation over and over, and site visits with people they knew within a minute they'd never hire.
So I built RenoMe. Homeowners show the job on a live video call and get a real number. Contractors never pay for a list of names. And nobody loses a morning to find out it was never going to work.
