Introduction
RenoMe connects homeowners with contractors through live video calls. You describe the job. They show up on screen. No middlemen, no shared lead lists, no mystery. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information We Collect
- Account info: name, email, phone number, and address
- Project info: descriptions, photos, and messages
- Payment info: processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number
- Usage data: how you use the app, call duration, and device type
How We Use Your Information
- To match you with the right contractors in your area
- To connect calls and process payments
- To send you push notifications about your projects, calls, and quotes
- To keep improving the app
Information Sharing
Your first name and project details are shared with contractors only when you take action — either when you tap "Request a Call" (which notifies all available contractors in your area) or when you tap "Browse Contractors" and initiate a call with someone specific. Your home address stays private until you accept a quote. At that point, and only at that point, the contractor you chose can see it. We use Stripe for payments and Firebase for secure data storage.
Data Retention
You're in control of your data. If you want to delete your account and everything associated with it, open the app, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap “Delete Account and Remove All My Data.” It's gone. No email needed, no waiting.
Security
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Video calls use encrypted WebRTC connections
- Payments run through Stripe, which is PCI-compliant
Children's Privacy
RenoMe is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
